¿Qué podemos hacer en estos días de primavera, que ya se aproximan rápidamente? Esta mañana temprano, el cielo estaba gris, pero si ahora uno se asoma a la ventana, se sorprende y apoya la mejilla contra la falleba.
Abajo, se ve la luz del sol feneciente sobre el rostro de la doncellita que se pasea mirando en torno; al mismo tiempo se ve en él la sombra de un hombre que se acerca rápidamente.
Y luego el hombre pasa, y el rostro de la nina está totalmente iluminado.

and the little churchyard there, with its sorrowing names,
and the frighteningly silent abyss into which the others
fall: again and again the two of us walk out together
under the ancient trees, lie down again and again
